Alamo is surrounded by a variety of golfers, with Round Hill Country Club right in town and Diablo Country Club just over the hill. Plenty of homeowners here play enough golf to want a real practice surface a few steps from the back door, and Alamo lots are large enough to do it properly.

Pavers and Turf by O’Neill’s designs and installs custom putting greens across Alamo, including country-club-style greens with custom bunkers with your choice of sand or white turf bunkers. From a tucked-in three-hole green to a full putting-game complex, every green is shaped to the lot and finished to roll true. We help with your vision of where the green sits relative to the pool and patio, how the fringe transitions into the landscape, and how lighting extends the space after dark.

What Sets Our Installs Apart
Anyone can roll out putting turf. The difference between a green that impresses on day one and one that still plays true in year ten is what happens under the surface and at the edges.
- Estate-Scale Design
Alamo’s larger lots open up options most yards cannot fit: longer lag-putt runs, multiple tiers, separate chipping pads, and practice bunkers. We design to the property, not from a standard template.
- True Roll, Course Speed
Pro-grade putting turf, proper sand infill, and surface rolling produce consistent, realistic green speed, so the four-footer at home feels like the four-footer at Round Hill.
- Contours Built Into the Base
We shape and compact the sub-base to create real breaks and runoffs. The green reads like a course green because it is built like one, from the ground up.
- Drainage That Disappears
We build a compacted, permeable base with complex grading, and where the yard needs it, we install full drainage systems, so winter rain sheds off the green and the surface stays firm and playable year-round.
- Built for the Property’s Look
Clean edges, defined fringe, and finish details that fit an Alamo landscape. Add premium outdoor lighting and the green becomes an evening feature, not just a practice tool.

FAQ
What does a custom putting green cost in Alamo?
Alamo projects range widely because the properties do. Size, tiers, bunkers, sourced sand, and lighting all move the number. The process starts with a free on-site design consultation, so the quote reflects your budget and you approve the design and price before anything starts.
Can you build a green with real bunkers?
Yes. Custom bunkers with requested country club sand are one of our signatures in Alamo. We shape them into the design from the start so they play, drain, and look right, and we walk you through sand selection and placement during the design visit. We also offer turf bunkers that mimic how the sand grabs your club.
How big can a backyard green be?
As big as the lot and the vision allow. We have designed everything from compact practice greens to multi-hole complexes with chipping areas, and lag-putt runs over 50 feet. The on-site design visit is where we map what your yard can actually hold.
