Weed Barrier & Gopher Guard
Before beginning the project, the area had to be prepped. The Forever Greens installation crew excavated the ground to a four inch depth, then leveled and graded it slightly to allow runoff to flow away from the home.
The next step was to ensure that no damage from weeds or rodents would come to the artificial turf in the future. In order to do this, layers of weed barrier and gopher guard were laid down.
Decomposed Granite and Drain Rock
To assist with proper drainage, a layer of drain rock was installed, followed by another layer of decomposed granite. Both layers were compacted and leveled to provide a solid smooth surface for the Artificial turf to be laid on. The final step to prepping the area was to mark and cut out the cup holes for the putting green. The Forever Greens installers placed them according to the customer's design specifications, completing the prep work.
Seamless Putting Green
Now that all of the prep work was completed, it was time to roll out and cut the putting green. Putt 46 was the turf chosen to create the putting surface, followed by Trainers Turf for the Fringe, and a 72oz fescue colored W-Blade artificial grass for the rough. Every seam was carefully glued and nailed down to prevent lifting or rippling, and the green was now ready for the infill. The Forever Greens installers meticulously spread 30-mesh sand across the entire putting surface to ensure a speedy roll for the ball. Durafill was then power broomed into the fringe and rough, to help the blades of artificial grass stand tall and plush.

The finished 1,140 square foot putting green was an immaculate creation. The customer was so overjoyed with the project that they asked us to give them an estimate to beautify the rest of their yard as well! The customer eagerly accepted our estimate for pavers and synthetic grass, and the installation quickly began. 710 square feet of fescue colored W-blade turf was installed, with a 23 foot long flagstone pathway running through the middle. Again, the customer was elated to see the finished result, and graciously wrote us another rave review.
