Putting Green and Artificial Grass in Blackhawk

Before beginning the project, the area had to be prepped. The Forever Greens installation crew excavated the ground to a four inch depth, then leveled and graded it slightly to allow runoff to flow away from the home.

The next step was to ensure that no damage from weeds or rodents would come to the artificial turf in the future. In order to do this, layers of weed barrier and gopher guard were laid down.

Now that all of the prep work was completed, it was time to roll out and cut the putting green. Putt 46 was the turf chosen to create the putting surface, followed by Trainers Turf for the Fringe, and a 72oz fescue colored W-Blade artificial grass for the rough. Every seam was carefully glued and nailed down to prevent lifting or rippling, and the green was now ready for the infill. The Forever Greens installers meticulously spread 30-mesh sand across the entire putting surface to ensure a speedy roll for the ball. Durafill was then power broomed into the fringe and rough, to help the blades of artificial grass stand tall and plush.
