A New Landmark at Sunken Gardens
Livermore just opened one of the most exciting community spaces the Tri-Valley has seen in years, and our commercial synthetic turf is a big part of it. The new Sunken Gardens Pump Track at 3800 Pacific Avenue is an all-wheel facility built by Pavers and Turf by O’Neills and LARPD for riders of every age and skill level. Bikes, scooters, skateboards, and wheelchairs all share the same flowing concrete course of rollers and banked turns. It is the kind of public space a city builds once and a whole community uses for decades.
Pavers and Turf by O’Neill’s was the team behind the full landscape package that frames the track. The smooth green that wraps every curve, the clean transitions between turf and concrete, and the ground the riders launch from all came out of our crews. This was our newest commercial project in Livermore, and it sits right in the center of our home turf in the Tri-Valley. Seeing the whole community out riding it on opening day made the long build worth every hour.
Commercial Synthetic Turf Built for Public Traffic
A public site like this raises the bar on everything underground. Before a single roll of turf goes down, the ground has to be right. We handled the grading so the surface sits true to the design and sheds water exactly where it should, then built the drainage to keep the track and the surrounding turf dry through the wet season. On a facility that sees this much daily use, the work you cannot see is what keeps it looking good for years.
