Our team has spent years helping Bay Area schools, parks and public spaces improve their outdoor environments in ways that are safe, durable and community focused. Valley View Elementary School: Upgrading an Outdoor Learning and Activity Space

Valley View Elementary School in Pleasanton became the latest campus to modernize its outdoor environment. The school needed improvements that would create a cleaner, more organized and more functional space for students and staff.

The work included new planter boxes, which help teachers and students maintain outdoor learning gardens and rebuilt the area with stabilized gold fines so the surface stays compact and comfortable to walk on while still offering a natural look that works well on school grounds.

Galvanized fencing was added to create clear boundaries around sensitive areas while maintaining strong visibility and safety. Pressure treated wood borders were installed to frame the planter areas cleanly and hold the lines of the design over time.

We also refreshed the soil and improved irrigation so that the planters can support new plantings throughout the year. The goal for this project was simple. Create a space that is easy to maintain, safe for students, and flexible for teachers who want to incorporate outdoor activity into the school day.

Livermore Skatepark Upgrades: Turf and Pump Track Improvements for the Community

The Livermore Skatepark at Sunken Gardens recently started the upgrade process of a new pump track at the skatepark, which has already become a major attraction for local riders. The City of Livermore continues to invest in recreational upgrades that invite residents to spend more time outdoors.

We were invited to support the project by installing a significant turf section that surrounds the new pump track. The installation scope is measuring around 10,000 square feet! This will create a bright, clean and low maintenance surface that can handle heavy traffic. Artificial turf works extremely well around active recreation areas because it offers consistent footing, remains clean year round and eliminates the maintenance demands of natural grass.

This turf zone will he;p frame the pump track with a finished look while also improving safety by reducing muddy or slippery areas. Families now have a more comfortable place to watch, rest and gather while riders enjoy the track. The project reflects a larger effort to create long lasting community spaces that fit the city’s goals for recreation and outdoor activity.
